Activist accidentally sets himself on fire on tennis court

An incident occurred at the Laver Cup in London. In the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman, an activist accidentally sets himself on fire.
BAt the Laver Cup in London, Roger Federer, 41, played his last match as a tennis pro late Friday evening alongside Rafael Nadal, 36. In the run-up to the game, however, there was a bad incident: a man set himself on fire on the tennis court.
In the second set of the game between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman, a demonstrator runs onto the pitch and sets a fire. Suddenly his right arm is on fire too, and he panics.
After the activist put out the fire, he remains seated cross-legged on the field. His white T-shirt reads in black capital letters: “End UK Private Jets” – “End British Private Jets”.
The 20-year-old named Kai is a member of an organization by the same name – “End UK Private Jets”. On the group’s platform, he claims that carbon emissions in 2022 are genocide. Kai is said to have appeared in several videos in the past explaining his tough stance on climate activism.
In doubles, Federer and Nadal meet the US duo Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe on Friday evening. Before the game at Eurosport, Federer explained his future: “I hope to be good out there and of course I want to enjoy it.” The Swiss had announced the end of his career last week.
