Dirk Kuyt has had a very disappointing start to the season with ADO Den Haag. Valentijn Driessen has little faith in a good ending for the former Feyenoord player.
“Have you seen the program of ADO? I think they should go to PEC Zwolle on Friday,” Driessen begins in The Veronica Morning Show: Good morning too. “And if Dirk goes on his nose there, then it could be the end of the story, I’ve heard. He won’t survive that.”
“He has no material anyway, guys,” Driessen continues honestly about Kuijt’s team. “He does have a very good striker (Verheydt, ed.), but if you don’t give him the ball, it will stop anyway. Then he won’t score either.”
Valentijn sees that many football players do not do well in their first job as a trainer “But if you give them a chance… We see Van Bommel now, who is of course doing excellent at Antwerp. So maybe Kuyt can get a second chance somewhere.” It is to be hoped that he survives Friday, then I think he will stay put for a while. But if it goes wrong again on Friday, then I have a hard head for Dirkie.”
