Conflict between Kevin Sanjay with the Indonesian men’s doubles coach, Herry Iman Pierngadi or Harry IP, ended peacefully. Both have forgiven each other.
This was revealed by Kevin and Herry IP in a virtual press conference held by PBSI on Friday (30/9).
“First of all, thank you for mediating with the chairman of PBSI, Mr. Agung Firman, Mr. Alex [Tirta, Ketua Harian PBSI]. Actually, this problem is not big, because the media is the one who raises it. I have been with Kevin for a long time and I consider them as children,” said Herry IP.
“Indeed, if I made a mistake, I apologize to Kevin, yesterday it was clear. If I said something that made Kevin uncomfortable, I apologize,” continued Herry IP.
Kevin Sanjaya also apologized to Herry IP at the press conference.
“Good afternoon, first I apologize for what has happened. We have talked and met to resolve this problem. From my side, I want to apologize if I made a mistake and so on,” said Kevin.
Kevin Sanjaya and Herry IP’s problems arose in the last few days. Starting from Herry IP stated that Kevin no longer wanted to be trained by him and he did not know for sure the reason.
Whereas Kevin said he never got a reprimand directly related to the incident at the Indonesia Open 2022 and Herry IP actually commented and gave open criticism in the media. This is one of the causes of this conflict.
