Kevin Allen, one of the summer signings of UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto, has it clear: win, win and win again, as Luis Aragonés would say. The North American center has shown his personal and collective ambition in his official debut with the Club, which has also served to present the renewal of the agreement with Caja Rural de Zamora.

The president of the entity, Alejandro García Pellitero, has been in charge of opening the appearance and showing his satisfaction with the continuity of Caja Rural. “The sponsor already sounds very cold because he is a traveling companion of the Club, a member of the family. The involvement, presence and commitment to Valladolid, the city, sport and its culture is remarkable. Your work is admirable. You keep opening offices and that’s about the good work you do and the customer service you provide”.

Narciso Prieto, communication director of Caja Rural de Zamora, also emphasized the importance of continuing with this agreement together. “It is a real pleasure to renew this collaboration. The Club makes it very easy for us. He came to stay and convey that we are a local savings bank project, to continue working, growing and helping. The Club speaks our same language, we are close and with the same philosophy. We agree financially and socially. We hope that the season will be fruitful, that the results accompany and people enjoy”.

After the institutional presentation, Alejandro García Pellitero took the floor to introduce Kevin Allen. “He is a globetrotter. He has been in exotic leagues from Nicaragua, Taiwan, Albania and Romania. He is sure that in Spain he is going to make a leap in quality. He is going to give us good night basketball together with the team. He is also discovering small pleasures of our gastronomy, such as conches, and soon he will try the lamb. He is integrating very well, ”he acknowledged with a laugh.

Kevin Allen, one of the players signed by UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto, began his debut by talking about the first weeks, now almost a month, of training and matches. “I am happy to have won this weekend. The training sessions are hard, intense, and it’s something I like. I feel like we are improving every day and I think we can be among the top four teams in the league. I think we are going to cause a sensation and surprise. We are already doing it. It’s going to be a fun season and we’re going to win a lot of games”.

Asked what he likes most about the team to date, the American player highlighted the resilience of the group. “When things go wrong we stay together, united and up. No one sinks and falls apart. We have a positive attitude, we think about fixing things and say, come on, fix it. To get it back and win the next match. I think that in a long season it is something essential and that it will help in the chemistry of the team”.

Regarding Spanish basketball, Kevin Allen stressed that “it is faster and more competitive than you might expect”, which has its advantages. “It offers me the opportunity to get out of who I am, to do different things, what I want to do to reach the highest level and improve. I think this country is the best to be able to do that.”

Regarding the aspirations and expectations of the team, the ‘0’ of UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto was ambitious. “Win every game. Keep winning, play hard, give it your all and no matter what happens in the game, we win it. We have a good opportunity playing against anyone”.

Finally, the American ‘five’ spoke about Paco García, his coach. “I like it. He is very intense, demanding and wants the best of everyone. Those kind of coaches are the best because they lead and motivate to win. They want the best for the players and for the team.”
