Jérémy Fernandez absent for several months for Castres

The exact duration is not known but the Castres scrum-half will be unavailable for “several months”.

Castres scrum half, Jérémy Fernandez, injured on Saturday during his team’s victory (12-6) against Brive, during the 4th day of the Top 14, will be “unavailable for several months”, announced the CO Monday.

The 25-year-old player, from the Castres training center, underwent tests on Monday which revealed that he was suffering from “a rupture of the cruciate ligaments of the left knee”, specified the Tarn club on its site. Fernandez, started against Brive, was replaced by Uruguayan Santiago Arata in the 22nd minute.

At the end of the 4th day, Castres, finalist last season, occupies the eighth place in the standings with eight points.
