Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do strengthen ‘win-win development and friendship’ through daily sports exchanges

Jeollanam-do Athletic Association and Gyeongsangbuk-do Athletic Association are holding a daily sports exchange event.

Jeollanam-do and Jeollanam-do Athletic Association announced that they would be invited to the “2022 Gyeongbuk Senior Sports Festival” held in Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do for three days from the 26th to the 28th to hold an event called ‘Jeonnam-Gyeongbuk Life Sports Friendship Exchange’.

This exchange event, following the invitation of the Gyeongbuk Friendship Exchange Group to the ‘2022 Jeonnam Senior Sports Festival in June,’ is invited to participate this time. friendship will be strengthened.

The Jeollanam-do Friendship Exchange Team was led by Choi Ki-dong, acting president of the Jeonnam Sports Association, and consisted of a total of 70 people in five sports, including gateball, ground golf, badminton, soft tennis, and park golf.

On the 26th, the first day, a welcome ceremony at the Gyeongsan Samsung Hyun Culture Museum and a cultural tour of the oriental medicine village in Gyeongsan-dong, followed by a welcome dinner event held at the Gyeongsan Attraum, included Choi Ki-dong, acting president of the Sports Council, Kim Ha-young, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Association, and Cho Hyun-il, Gyeongsan. The mayor, Ahn Byung-ok, secretary general of the Jeonnam Provincial Sports Association, Lee Mook, secretary general of the Gyeongbuk Province Sports Association, officials from the provincial government and sports organizations, and the Jeonnam and Gyeongbuk athletes are expected to attend.

On the 27th, in addition to attending the opening ceremony of the ‘2022 Gyeongsan Senior Sports Festival held at the Gyeongsan Indoor Gymnasium, there will be a friendly match with the Gyeongbuk Life Sports Club for each event.

On the last day of exchange, on the 28th, after the 2nd day of daily life sports exchange and cultural tour of Cheongdo Wine Tunnel, they plan to return after leaving the friendship that had been strong for three days.

Acting Chairman Choi Ki-dong said, “Through this exchange, we expect that our cooperation between Jeonnam and Gyeongbuk will be further solidified, and I hope that through these continuous exchanges, win-win development and advanced sports culture in each region will be established.” Then, he said, “I hope that many people will visit Jeollanam-do to experience the taste and beauty of Jeollanam-do in the year of “Visit to Jeonnam in 2022-2023.”

Meanwhile, Jeonnam-Gyeongbuk exchanges started in 2014 and have continued steadily until now.
