Jalen Hilla 22-year-old player from the University of UCLA, has died after be several days missing in Costa Rica. His family has communicated his death, without giving details of the causes.
This has been the message published on social networks: “Our hearts are shattered and broken to inform family and friends that our son, Jalen, has passed away. Jalen disappeared while he was in Costa Rica”.
“We know that Jalen has played an important role in the lives of many people. As we try to come to terms with this devastating moment, we ask that you give us time to grieve.”
Jalen Hill He had played at UCLA, but was sanctioned for an incident in China in 2017 for which he was arrested along with other teammates. Since that sanction suffered from anxiety and depression.
Jalen quit basketball after being suspended in 2021. He had previously excelled in college basketball, reaching average 9 points and 7 rebounds per game in a season.
