Italy won the Men’s Volleyball World Championship on September 11, 2022 in Katowice, beating Poland, the double title holder, 3 sets to 1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20 ). A World Cup at the end of which Tunisia, eighth finalist, finished 16th. The Egyptians are 19th. As for the Cameroonians, eliminated in the first round, they are 23rd (out of 24), their worst ranking since their first participation in this competition, in 1990 (15th out of 16, at the time).
