Hidalgo, with eight medals in National – El Sol de Tulancingo

The Hidalgo delegation that competed in the Daniel F. Hernández judo tournament in Guadalajara, Jalisco, returned to state territory with eight medals.

The entity had good dividends, since, of the total number of medals, more than half were gold, and the rest were distributed on the podium.

Alexis Espinoza Ávila was one of the winners of the state delegation, and managed to place himself at the top of the winners’ stairway; In addition, Guillermo Gutiérrez Jiménez experienced the same situation, who harvested the same metal during the competition.

Another pair that was also placed at the top of the winners was the case of José Alberto Cruz Márquez, who stayed at the top, within the -73 kilogram category; meanwhile, Jairo Olvera was the last person from Hidalgo to win the gold medal during the competition.

The last golden colguije that the state had corresponded to Rogelio Olvera, who competed in the m8 modality, up to 8 kilos, and placed on top of the podium.

Of the remaining third of medals, a couple more were silver, while the last one was a bronze.

In second place, Angélica Vázquez Olvera was one of the representatives of the entity that won that medal, while the other athlete was Daniel Alcántara Córdova.

The only bronze of the entity was owned by Sofía Pelcastre Gutiérrez.

That was not the only activity of the entity in judo, because also during this weekend, Paulina Garnica competed on Christmas Eve, in the Pan American Open, held in Bogotá, Colombia, competition in which she came in fifth place.
