The Sports and Cultural Association of Laignes and the Surroundings was created in 1971.
With its 51 years, the Sports and Cultural Association of Laignes and the Surroundings has lost nothing of its eternal youth.
For the occasion, it presented its various clubs which work throughout the year to allow everyone to enjoy leisure and quality activities.
By creating the football club in 1971, then the handball club, the film club in 1973 and the photo club in 1974, ASCLE was founded and became a multi-club association. They were joined in 1976 by table tennis, senior citizens and tennis, in 1977 integration of voluntary gymnastics (created in 1976), in 1979 by music, in 1982 integration of judo (created in 1981), in 1983 by video and dance. In 1985 came the computer. In 1986, the music club was divided into two: the music school and the entertainment club. In 1991, reopening of the commercial cinema. In 1992, the merger of the two music schools in the canton took place. In 1995, creation of the Laignes Tonic club, In 2011, ASCLE celebrates its 40th anniversary. In 2017, integration of the Théâtre de la Naïade, closure of handball and the music school. In 2018, reopening of the senior section at the football club and 2019 of the handball club, closure of the theater club. In 2021, ASCLE celebrates its 50th anniversary. Unfortunately that year, it was impossible to organize events because of the Covid-19 epidemic. In 2022, ASCLE has finally blown out its candles!
The anniversary day continued on a festive note with an aperitif in the presence of the departmental councillors, Valérie Bouchard and Christophe Verdot, the president of the Community of Communes of the Pays Châtillonnais Jérémie Brigand, the mayor of Laignes Jean-Michel Antoni and the mayor by Vertault Jerome Kuhn. Then, many guests took part in the meal hosted by the Naddor’s group.
