Gyeongbuk Athletic Association for the Disabled held the second meeting of representatives for each event on the 23rd to prepare for the 42nd National Sports Festival for the Disabled, which will be held in Ulsan-si from October 19th to 24th. Gyeongbuk Athletic Association for the Disabled held the second meeting of representatives for each sport ahead of the participation in the 42nd National Sports Festival for the Disabled to be held in Ulsan from October 19 to 24.
At this meeting held on the 23rd in the lecture hall of the training center of the Saemaul Undong theme park in Gumi, matters such as the dispatch plan for the team and the preparation of safety measures for the team related to COVID-19 were discussed. After that, plans for winning the top spot by analyzing the results of participation in the previous year’s competition and the expected results for each event were discussed.
In this tournament, 637 athletes (394 athletes, 243 officers, etc.) participated in 27 sports from the Gyeongbuk squad. In Gyeongsangbuk-do, the strong sports such as billiards and badminton are expected to perform well, and among group sports, wheelchair rugby and visual soccer are expected to win top prizes.
Gyeongsangbuk-do Athletic Association for the Disabled is providing support to improve athletes’ performance, such as distributing training supplies for athletes and pre-inspecting accommodation facilities to participate in this year’s National Sports Festival for the Disabled.
