Great weekend of representation from San Juan in High Performance

A very good number of athletes from San Juan will represent the province in different sports disciplines during this weekend in athletics, motor racing, boxing, enduro, judo, motorcycling, MTB, swimming and volleyball, members of the High Performance program of the Sports Secretariat.

Athletics

In the neighboring province, Mendoza, the Anniversary Tournament of UNCUYO, National University of Cuyo, will be held this Sunday, with the presence of athletes Renzo Varoni and Agustina Recabarren. San Juan athletes sprinters will participate in 100 and 200 flat meters. See more info

Motoring

The 11th date of the Road Tourism will be held at the Rosendo Hernández racetrack, with the presence of San Juan drivers Facundo Della Motta with Dodge #44 of A&P Competición and Tobías Martínez in TC Pista, with the Chevy #107 of Las Toscas Racing. See more info

Boxing

Two fronts for boxing with activity at Club Julio Mocoroa for Friday night with professional interprovincial combats in commemoration of Boxer’s Day. The evening starts at 9:00 p.m. See more info

On the other hand, tomorrow, Saturday, the return of the world flyweight champion of the International Boxing Federation, Leonela Yúdica, will fight in Buenos Aires against Lucía de los Ángeles Ruiz at the Diego Armando Maradona Sports Center, in the town of Pablo Nogués, in the Municipality of Malvinas Argentinas, 35 km northwest of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Enduro

This weekend is run in Tandil, a new date of the Argentine Enduro championship, with the presence of nine San Juan riders representing ASER, San Juan Enduro Association and the province in the different categories of the national enduro. The riders who will be racing in Buenos Aires are: Marcelo del Carril, Osvaldo Martinez , Juan Cruz Martinez, Fernando Hierrezuelo, Rodrigo Gonzalez, Eduardo Bacca, Alberto Lopez, Pedro Lopez and Juan Jose Marti.

Judo

San Juan judoka Karim Adarvez is part of the Argentine team that will compete in the South American tour this weekend in Lima, Peru (17 and 18) and the following weekend in Bogotá, Colombia (24 and 25). See more info

Motorcycling

The driver from San Juan, Santino Sabattini, will race this weekend in Brazil. The stage for the third round of the Yamalube R3 bLU cRU Cup 2022 will be the Orlando Moura Circuit, Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul. See more Info

MTB

This weekend, in the province of Córdoba, the 2022 season of the XCO Argentine Open will end. The annual mountain biking competition, in the all-terrain mode, where there are protagonists from San Juan in various categories.

Among the people from San Juan who will be present, stand out Inés Gutiérrez and María Constanza Pezzotti, members of the High Performance staff. Both arrive to date with chances of champion. See more info

swimming

The 2022 edition of the “Copa Italia” will be held this weekend in the covered swimming pool of Club Ausonia, with the presence of swimmers from all over the country and representatives from San Juan, who will seek to leave the province represented in the best way. See more info

Taekwondo
It will be played this Saturday, September 17 at the Municipal Sports Center in the town of Barreal and this 3rd Open Cordillerano will have an international character, since it will have participants from Chile and Mexico as well as several Argentine provinces being represented. See more info

Volleyball

Three high-performance volleyball players from San Juan are intensely active in the national teams. In the Panthers, Candelaria Herrera faces Belgium tomorrow Saturday in the Belfort International Cup in France. In Tacna, Peru, the South American Under 21 Championship is being played with Luca Ovalle from San Juan in the national team, while Manuel Armoa Morel in the senior team, they play today the last friendly match against Chile, which serves as preparation for the tournament.
