Football transfers: Juan Mata to follow Icardi to Galatasaray! – INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

This also closes in Turkey on Thursday Transfer-Window. In Deutschland and many major European top leagues like England, SpainFrance and Italy this has been closed since the beginning of the month. And one Turkish club in particular is currently hitting the transfer market again: Galatasaray.

The club from the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul still has several hot irons in the fire on the last transfer day. A deal is already fixed: the change of Mauro Icardi (29) from Paris Saint Germain in the Turkish SuperLig.

A super transfer for the Turks. According to media reports from France and Turkey, PSG will continue to pay a large part of the striker’s salary in this loan deal. However, the Argentine should only earn three instead of five million euros a year at Galatasaray. PSG also waive a rental fee.

Icardi has now arrived in Turkey. Videos show the striker landing at the airport. There he was enthusiastically received by numerous Galatasaray supporters. Icardi has already posed with a scarf from the top Turkish club. In addition, the transfer has already been reported to the stock exchange.

An ex-Manchester United star will also follow Icardi. As Galatasaray officially announced, they are negotiating with Juan Mata (34). The Spaniard’s contract with the Premier League club was not renewed after the end of last season. The world and European champion has been looking for a club ever since. Advantage: Galatasaray would not have to pay a fee for Mata either.

According to Turkish media, the former star of the “Red Devils” will receive a one-year contract. For this he should collect a salary of 1.8 million euros.

Galatasaray have other players on their last minute list. Also to come are: Yusuf Demir (19) from Rapid Vienna, Mathias Ross (21) from Aalborg BK and ex-Werder player Milot Rashica (26) from Norwich City.

So it can still be a very hot day at Galatasaray…
