Football – Friendly match – Brazil is ready: Neymar and Seleção crush Tunisia (5-1)

Brazil continues its flawless way before the World Cup. Sitting on certainties which thicken as the World Cup approaches, the Seleçao made short work of Tunisia on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes (5-1). Montassar Talbi (18th) responded well to the opener signed Raphinha (11th), but Richarlison (19th), Neymar (29th, sp), Raphinha once again (40th) and Pedro (74th) allowed Brazil to seal yet another offensive festival. Annoyed by the auriverde euphoria, Dylan Bronn dried Neymar in the back and received a red card (42nd). Despite a second half spent in numerical inferiority, the Eagles of Carthage did not deserve.

An eruptive atmosphere worthy of an official competition meeting. It is in this burning context that the two selections have evolved in Paris, in a Parc des Princes won over to the cause of the Eagles of Carthage. Timorous at the start of the game, Jalel Kadri’s men were penalized after ten minutes by a jewel from Raphinha, author of a lob with his back to the goal (11th). Led, Tunisia decided to storm the opposing camp and were rewarded with the goal of Montassar Talbi, scorer with a powerful header after a free kick from Anis Ben Slimane (18th).

The Tunisian public who came in large numbers were barely celebrating the equalizer when Richarlison took on the task of cutting short the festivities with an unstoppable strike between the legs of Aymen Dahmen (19th). Back in the lead, Brazil then allowed themselves to take advantage of the mistakes of their opponents, as on this penalty converted by Neymar (29th), after a clash between Aïssa Laïdouni and Casemiro.

Ten minutes later, Raphinha did not need anyone, except for a subtle deviation from Richarlison, to place his ball perfectly (40th). Post returning, and Brazil returned to the locker room with a comfortable lead coupled with a numerical advantage. Irritated, like his teammates, by the demonstrative joy of the Brazilians and the provocations of the ball at the foot of Neymar, Dylan Bronn unpinned before the break. A dangerous intervention from behind on the leader of PSG (42nd) and the defender saw red.

Reduced to ten, the Tunisians did not deserve

Outnumbered and trailing by three goals, we did not give much of the Eagles’ feathers in the second half. However, in the wake of an incandescent Laïdouni, the Tunisians did not close the spaces, and even dared to approach the last third. Only, Laïdouni (59th) and Youssef Msakni (60th) narrowly missed at the worst of times. On the side of the Auriverdes, the waste accumulated and, even if Raphinha could have afforded a hat-trick (65th), the only goal scored in the second period came from a favorable counter that Pedro perfectly exploited (74th ).

The first goal in selection of the incoming eclipsed a second act more irregular of the Seleçao, undoubtedly the spirit already turned towards the planetary deadline. The Eagles of Carthage have suffered the repercussions of a major outpouring of energy. Heavy legs, the Tunisians multiplied the technical approximations in the offensive phase. But nothing that will take away from the merit of a selection that looked Brazil straight in the eye in numerical inferiority. The gap was just too big against a nation destined to be, if not, one of the big favorites for the next World Cup.
