Julian Nagelsmann (35) will listen very carefully to this test run…
The Spanish national team is currently testing a technological revolution: The players of the “Furia Roja” are now wearing a small loudspeaker on the back of their “data bra”.
Coach Luis Enrique (52) can stand on his analysis platform at the training ground, speak into his walkie-talkie and give the player direct commands.
With Armony’s “Artemis” system, Enrique can reach individual stars or entire groups (e.g. defence, attack) via various channels.
No more loud yelling from the trainer on the edge…
According to BILD information, Nagelsmann and FC Bayern also received this system at Säbener Strasse before their pre-season preparations in the summer. So far, however, it has not been visible in training.
Nagelsmann generally finds such technical innovations very exciting!
The Bayern coach recently exchanged views with NFL coaches Andy Reid (64/Kansas City Chiefs) and Matt LaFleur (42/Green Bay Packers). The NFL could soon become a role model for Bayern training: In American football, the coaches use headsets to communicate with their quarterbacks on the field.
Nagelsmann dealt with a button in the ear months ago!
A small, wireless headset that is individually adapted for players is to be placed in the system’s ear. The coach can use the iPad to control one star or several at the same time.
The German start-up “Coachwhisperer” from Jena has been working on the Hearable project for years. BILD found out: The button in the ear should come onto the market in 2023.

However, Bayern sees a problem here: Hearing the player commands is (so far) somewhat restricted on the button ear. And: According to the internationally applicable IFAB rule 4 (equipment of the players), this type of communication is not (yet) allowed in the game.
Nagelsmann only use the button in the ear or the back speaker for training!
