Hardly a player on the pitch – but a permanent substitute who could end Bayern’s clipping crisis!
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (33) is currently the only real nine in Julian Nagelsmann’s (35) squad. In the discussions about the absence of world footballer Robert Lewandowski (45/for 45 million euros transfer fee plus five million possible bonuses to FC Barcelona), the storm backup is almost always forgotten as a possible replacement.

The Lewandowski replacement Sadio Mané (30/came from Liverpool for 32 million euros) who has been put in front of him has not scored for five games and was pulled onto the left wing against Barcelona and Augsburg.
“Choupo” would be the solution if a real centre-forward should appear – for example next Friday against Bayer Leverkusen (September 30th, 8:30 p.m. / DAZN)!

After the attacker had had pubic adductor pain for weeks at the start of the season, he shot himself really hot on Tuesday morning in a two-man training session with substitute keeper Sven Ulreich (33).
More players are not in team training during the international break (18 stars on national team trips – Coman, Sarr and Hernández in rehab)…
After passes from fitness boss Prof. Dr. Holger Broich (48) showed Choupo-Moting his qualities: worth seeing overhead kicks, good turning shots, ice-cold penalties against Ulreich (6:5 against Broich) and even winning the crossbar.
On Monday he had lost against Broich after his individual training…
Nagelsmann has never put the striker in the starting XI this season, also because of his groin pain.
He missed the Supercup (5: 3 in Leipzig) and the first four league games (three super wins, a 1: 1 against Gladbach), after which the star (came on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020) was substituted on three times – three times but also not at all.

It’s a shame for “Choupo” that Nagelsmann didn’t see his baller unit on Tuesday and the application for a starting eleven place as a center forward on site at Säbener Straße.
The trainer was not on the training ground on Tuesday and was therefore not part of the two-person unit of his substitute stars.
