FC Bayern in crisis: Julian Nagelsmann’s first measure TODAY – Bundesliga

The crisis in Bavaria calls for quick action. After four winless games in a row in the league, the air on Säbener Straße is tense. Ironically, before the team’s traditional Oktoberfest visit on Sunday.

After the 0-1 draw in Augsburg, coach Julian Nagelsmann (35) said when asked what had to change: “A lot. We have to use four one-on-one situations against the goalie to win games. If we don’t do it, we don’t win. I’ll think about it and then we’ll see how it goes.”

Even before the Wiesn visit, Nagelsmann wants to have as many discussions as possible with his players. “Sport1” also reports on this.

At 8:17 a.m., Nagelsmann appeared on Säbener Straße on Sunday morning, only Noussair Mazraoui was there six minutes earlier. The rest of the players arrived by 9am.

Nagelsmann’s problem: Because of the upcoming international break, he only has the opportunity to address the problems now. After that, the majority of the players are with the national teams. Only on September 30th does the league continue against Leverkusen.

Nagelsmann seemed frustrated after the Augsburg bankruptcy, answered questions in an unusually monosyllable and criticized the performance of the team. Above all, the many missed goal chances rankled him. Nagelsmann: “A lot of chances just flow out of the stadium. We play it very laissez-faire in the last third. We definitely had twenty situations outnumbered and play the ball sloppily.”

Another problem: Apparently the players don’t manage to approach a game against Augsburg with the same attitude as against Barcelona. Board boss Oliver Kahn (53) therefore appealed after the Barca 2-0 in the dressing room that wins in the league are also needed. The wake-up call is gone. Sports boss Hasan Salihamidzic (45): “The boys have to concentrate better, be more focused and greedy to win the games. If you get three points from four games, that’s just not enough.”

Salihamidzic continued: “We have to win games now. We are all in demand now, not just Julian Nagelsmann.” Bayern have not had four league games in a row without a win in 20 years. After the great start, there is suddenly an alarm mood, despite two Champions League victories against Milan and Barcelona.
