El Bisbal, for the first time in the final phase of the Catalan League

Bisbal Bàsquet plays today (12:15 p.m.) in the semi-finals of the EBA Catalan League against Martinenc after getting rid of Martorell (72-64) in the quarter-finals yesterday. Carles Rofes’ team, which has reached the semi-finals of the competition for the first time in its history, will host the entire final stage throughout today.

Count matches by wins. This milestone is being achieved by Bisbal Básquet in this edition of the Catalan League. Under the baton of Rofes, the team won all the games in the group stage and also prevailed at Martorell yesterday, reaching the semi-finals for the first time and beating the club’s historic ceiling, the quarter-finals, where they had been eliminated on two occasions in previous editions.

The people from Emporda dominated the game from head to toe and in the first quarter dominated by ten points (23-13). The boys from Rofes maintained this advantage until the end of the duel, reaching a margin of up to seventeen points over Martorell. Jaume Solé was the top local scorer with 24 points. Martinenc will be the last barrier to reach the final. The Barcelona team defeated Tarragona 68 to 76.

In the other semi-final (10:30 a.m.), Barça and Mataró will seek a place in the final (6:00 p.m.). The Blaugranes got rid of Granollers comfortably (82-54), while Mataró won against Santfeliuenc (75-83).
