Eduardo Rodríguez silences Royals

With the end of the season just around the corner, Eduardo Rodríguez (E-Rod) put on his best performance of September this Thursday to guide the Tigers to a 10-3 victory over the Royals.

Although he received five hits and gave up four walks, the Creole was able to keep Kansas scoreless for 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three and improved his ERA to 4.02.

The Bengali offense backed him from the start and scored five times while he was on the mound. One in the second inning for a home run by Willi Castro and four in the fifth for a double by Riley Greene and a shot by Javier Báez.

And after E-Rod left, the Tigers continued to produce.

They scored one in the sixth on a single by Tucker Barnhart and four in the next inning on a pitch to Víctor Reyes, a fly ball by Jeimer Candelario and hits by Barnhart and Ryan Kreidler.
