Disappointment for Orkun Kökçü | Football

The 21-year-old midfielder suffered an injury in the game against Luxembourg and is no longer part of national coach Stefan Kuntz’s selection for the last group match with the Faroe Islands on Sunday, the Turkish Football Association reports.

Turkey secured promotion to the B-division by the 3-3 against Luxembourg on Thursday at the Basaksehir stadium in Istanbul. Kökçü retired before the end of the match. The Turkish federation has not disclosed the seriousness of the injury.
