DFB women buy World Cup ticket | Sports

Three beautiful goals against the Wembley frustration!

34 days after losing the European Championship final (1:2 against England), the DFB women have successfully reported back: 3:0 in the World Cup qualifier in Bursa against Turkey!

The team of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg (54) made the victory in Group H perfect before the last match day and bought the ticket for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Our girls are cheering again! The German fans provided the necessary tailwind in the run-up to the Turkey game. 2000 spectators came to the public training this week in Frankfurt. Captain Alexandra Popp (31): “We didn’t have such a backdrop during training, even in 2011 at the home World Cup. That shows the enthusiasm we have sparked in Germany.”

After Popp missed the European Championship final due to muscular problems, the VfL Wolfsburg striker was back in the starting XI against Turkey. However, the game became a game of patience. Because despite the clear superiority of the DFB team, no goals were scored until the break.

Only after the change did Felicitas Rauch (57th) redeem her team with a converted hand penalty. Shortly thereafter, Klara Bühl increased the lead to 2-0 from 16 meters (60′). Lea Schüller made everything clear in the 77th minute.
