Dallas Cowboys valued at $8 billion, highest value in sports

The Dallas Cowboys NFL franchise has achieved the highest economic value in sports with an estimated $8 billion, according to Forbes.

The Dallas Cowboys are worth $8 billion, according to Forbes’ 25th Annual NFL Team Review published on Monday.

It’s the 14th straight year the Texas team has topped the list, and it’s worth more than any other sports franchise in the world, Forbes said. The Cowboys’ value jumped 23% from a year ago.

The New England Patriots follow the ranking with a value of $6.4 billion, and the Super Bowl champion, the Los Angeles Rams, reaches $6.2 billion.

The Rams’ Super Bowl LVI opponent in February, the Cincinnati Bengals, had the lowest value of the NFL’s 32 teams at $3 billion.

Dallas was also the first team to generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue, thanks to a variety of high-paying endorsement deals, Forbes reported.

Overall, the average NFL team is worth $4.47 billion, up 28% from the 2021 ranking.

“The sale of the Denver Broncos for a record $4.65 billion has helped drive up the value of all NFL teams”said Mike Ozanian, associate editor of Forbes in a press release.

Walmart heir Rob Walton and his group of partners completed the purchase of the Broncos earlier this month.
