match development

The first half was favorable for Deportivo Cali who scored a goal at minute 6 and was annulled for offside. However, the ‘heart’ team recovered, significantly improved its defensive facet and at minute 19 he found an ideal attacking play to leave Wilder Guisao hand in hand with the goalkeeper and defined crosswise to put the game 1-0.

Again the defensive errors took their toll on the ‘sugar box’ and they suffered a lot from the overflows on the wings. Also, he had his best options with Teófilo Gutiérrez in attack, but he did not find the effectiveness facing the rival goal and so they went to rest.

In the second half the script did not change too much because Cortuluá knew how to control the visit and constantly attacked him. The score increased due to a penalty executed by Feiver Mercado in the 79th minute and the locals had the match on track.

Around minute 82, there was an invasion by Deportivo Cali supporters on the pitch and the game had to be called off.
