The French cycling team will be deprived of Audrey Cordon-Ragot for the 2022 World Championships in Australia, forced to withdraw for medical reasons, the French Cycling Federation (FFC) announced on Thursday.
«For medical reasons, Audrey Cordon-Ragot will not be aligned in the road race of the World Championships“, said the FFC in its press release, without giving more details.

Cordon-Ragot will be replaced by Jade Wiel for this event scheduled in Wollongong, near Sydney, on September 24.
Two days ago, the FFC announced that Cordon-Ragot, six-time French time trial champion, had given up on the Worlds time trial for “medical reasons».
The 32-year-old Breton, under contract with the Trek-Segafredo team, had achieved the double time trial / road race during the 2022 French Championships in Cholet at the end of June.
