Coach Celtics after ‘intimate relationship’ with employee suspended for season | Sport

According to a statement from the top team Boston Celtics, Udoka has apologized to fans and players and accepted the penalty. The former assistant coach of San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets will not comment further. The penalty would be one of the heaviest ever imposed on a head coach in the top U.S. professional league.

Udoka, 45, led the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals last season, losing to the Golden State Warriors. It was his first year at Boston. For the coming year, which starts in a few weeks, Boston is seen as one of the favorites for the title.
