SportFEAT.COM – The latest BWF ranking update has been released, Apriyani/Fadia stagnated while six Indonesian men’s doubles broke into the top 20 in the world.

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has released the latest ranking update on Tuesday (6/9/2022).

There is a slight change in the rankings for the representatives of Indonesia in the latest BWF rankings released by the world’s highest badminton authority.

This is inseparable from the unfreeze ranking policy which has entered its fifth week.

BWF will officially slowly unfreeze the world rankings after suspending it some time ago.

The unfreeze of BWF ranking points is valid for 52 weeks starting from 2 August 2022 to 3 January 2023.

If the unfreeze has been carried out, then the four weeks of BWF ranking points since the 12th week of 2019 are removed.

Men’s doubles is the sector that will benefit the most from this policy.

Three Red and White pairs have increased their rankings from their positions last week.

Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan, for example, has moved up one line from last week’s position.

Currently, Pram/Yere is ranked 13th in the world.

Then there was Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana who shot two steps to 16th place.

Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin are the last men’s doubles pair to enter the top 20 in the world.

The Singapore Open 2022 champion currently occupies 17th position or moved three strips from his ranking last week.

Apriyani/Fadia are currently stuck in 31st position in the world.

Likewise with Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi who ranks 36th in the world.

Shifting to the men’s singles sector, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie have not moved from their rankings last week.

Ginting is currently in sixth place, while Jonathan is eighth in the world.

Shesar Hiren Rhustavito had an uneasy fate.

Rinov/Pitha are now in 17th position in the world or up one step from last week’s ranking.

The same thing happened to two other training pairs, Adnan Maulana/Mychelle Chrystine Bandaso and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.

Adnan/Mychelle climbed two steps to number 29 in the world, while Rehan/Lisa shot two steps up to number 36 in the world.
