“I would have liked a last challenge, so as not to end up on these two somewhat dull years”

It’s in the columns of the daily newspaper South West that it retraces the highlights of his 19-year career. Thus, his passage to the Girondins de Bordeaux and this descent into Ligue 2 leaves him with regrets.

He played 4 seasons with Bordeaux from 2018 to 2022. He scored 22 goals in 116 games. Excerpts from his statement.

Jimmy Briand in South West: “ I could and should have played more and contributed more to help the Girondins. This frustration is there on this end of career. That’s why I would have liked a last challenge, so as not to end up on these two somewhat dull years which are not like the rest of my career. I think that’s my biggest regret. Luckily I was coming out of two wonderful years. Afterwards, humanly, it was rich with all that we were able to experience. »
