Ecogreen Merkezefendi Municipality Basketball Girls Team, of which Ecogreen Energy is the main sponsor of Turkey’s only company with licensed power plants based on solar, biogas and biomass, achieved a great success. The young girls in the 13-16 age group of the Ecogreen Merkezefendi Municipality Basketball Girls Team finished the Turkish Championship with the 7th place after being the 1st in Denizli in the local leagues last year. Not content with this success, the Ecogreen Merkezefendi Municipality Girls’ Team qualified to enter the Basketball Youth League by making 2 out of 2 in the preliminary qualifying matches held in Ankara.
Congratulating the young basketball girls who achieved an exemplary success, Ecogreen Energy Chairman of the Board Osman Ugurlu said, “These girls came together last year and became a very successful team. They have great energy. As Ecogreen Energy, we said ‘if there is energy, we exist’ and we sponsored this team. They are now Ecogreen Merkezefendi Municipality Girls’ Team. They achieved their first big success by entering the Basketball Youth League by making 2 of 2 in the qualifying matches held in Ankara.
