Wermelskirchen/Hückeswagen Ben Musaeus, the Wermelskirchen judo bear and nicknamed “the Rocket” by friends, also won the gold medal at the Special Olympics state games in Bonn.
His father shares that Jörg Musaeus With. He had to fight four times on the mat and won all his fights, also having a fighter from the higher competition class WK1 (competitor with only a minor mental handicap) in his field! The judo bear ultimately won two hard and intense fights against the fighter from the higher fighting class and after a total of four fights won the gold medal of the national games
Also his club colleague, the Mifune judoka Leo Petersberg, started in competition class 2 in the weight class 90+ and had to prove himself in four fights, all of which he lost despite a strong fighting performance that day.
Both ID judokas, Ben Musaeus, who was very satisfied, and Leo Petersberg, who was not disappointed with his well-conducted fights despite defeats, started their journey home in the early afternoon in order not to miss the JC Mifune training session on the same day at 6 p.m.
Jörg Musaeus: “A sporty attitude that will certainly soon lead to the hoped-for medal for Leo Petersberg.”
