Beach volleyball players Fokerots/Auziņš reach the final of the European U-18 Championship

The Latvian duo, seeded second in the tournament, defeated the Belgians Alexija Umblé/Daans Hendriks (12th) in the semi-final match with a score of 2-0 (21:16, 21:17).

Fokerots/Auziņš won all three subgroup games and beat their opponents in the first two “play-off” matches as well.

It has already been reported that the Latvian women’s duo Līva Ēbere and Daniela Konstantinova lost in the semi-finals on Sunday and will fight for bronze medals.

In the women’s and men’s tournaments, 32 duos were divided into eight subgroups of four pairs each. The top three teams of each group entered the knockout tournament.

Last year in Ljubljana, Zaiga Kalvāne/Daniela Konstantinova won one of the three fights in the subgroup, taking a shared 25th place in the master’s race, while Fokerot and Aužinas managed to win bronze.
