BBL President Reil: “Bring life to the white spots”

“I’m a big fan of thinking about which programs we can use – in combination with BBL and DBB – to get more children and young people,” Reil told the Stuttgarter Nachrichten: “That’s the big challenge.”

There are already “extensive school programs” at the basketball locations, but this must be further intensified. But it’s also about thinking about “how we can fill the many white spots that still exist in basketball with life.”

Reil sees the EM euphoria as a start-up aid. “The success of the national team is not a sure-fire success,” said the chairman of the Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg: “When we have good ideas, such hype helps, but nothing happens on its own.”
