Basketball. JL Bourg claws the London Lions at the Mincidélice Cup

For the first evening of the Mincidélice Cup, its preparation tournament at Ekinox, JL Bourg beat the London Lions (105-62). Faced with the British deprived of three major players, retained at the Euro, Frédéric Fauthoux’s men seemed more physically sharp and, above all, they were ahead of their collective game project.

This allowed the Bressans to count up to 13 points ahead in the first quarter and 18 points in the second, concluded with the score of 52-37. At the break, Hugo Benitez was already credited with 12 points.

The show continued after halftime. The JL Bourg fed on the many balls lost by the Londoners, and the 10 consecutive points of the serial-shooter Jordan Floyd largely contributed to inflate the gap in indecent proportions (86-53, 30th).

In the last quarter, the Bressans passed the 100 point mark two minutes from the buzzer. Jordan Floyd finished top scorer in the game with 22 points, but four of his teammates finished with more than 10 points scored (Benitez, Palmer, Pelos and Chassang).

On Saturday, Maxime Courby and his teammates will test themselves against Limoges CSP, still at Ekinox, at 9:15 p.m.
