Shortly after the shattered gold dream of the German basketball players, Dennis Schröder announced news. The captain names his new club. The 29-year-old asserts that he now wants to do “things” properly.

Schröder is returning to the Los Angeles Lakers, signing a one-year deal that his agent says will net him around €2.6million. US basketball expert Marc Stein also reported on the contract on Twitter. Stein also reported that Lakers superstar LeBron James will be holding a private training camp with the new players shortly before the team’s official start of training on September 26.
“The last year felt wrong, I felt misunderstood,” Schröder explained on his Instagram account around midnight. The German captain vowed to improve and at the same time asked for the support of the Lakers supporters: “I’m coming back to do things right. I will give everything I have every day and I hope that the LakersNation will support me.” It is an honor to play for the Lakers, said the defender.

In the coming season, Schröder will play again for the club for which he had already appeared in the 2020/21 season. At the time, the failed negotiations for a new contract caused a stir. Schröder is said to have turned down an offer of four years and $84 million, but denies that he was actually offered that amount.
Schroeder back to the Lakers
The German top scorer then played for the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets at the current European Championship, but could not recommend himself for a long-term contract.
Schröder’s advisor Mark Bartelstein recently confirmed ongoing negotiations with NBA teams to “Bild”: “I’m in conversation with NBA clubs every day. Everyone can use a Dennis Schröder. We’re now looking at what’s best for Dennis. What I can say – the clubs look at the EM. And they like what they see from Dennis there.” So now he has his client housed in Hollywood.
