There is no rest in the flight of the Badminton Albatros, last weekend in the Sports Pavilion of Utrillas (Teruel), a TOP TTR Tournament was played, scoring for the national ranking of Badminton.
The members of the team that traveled to the Aragonese province were Carla Cantero and Guillermo Martínez competing in the Absolute category and in the Sub15 category Jimena Alonso, Samuel Rodríguez, Mateo Higueras and Marcos Romero.
In the Absolute Men’s Individual category, Guillermo Martínez was planted in the final of the Tournament, staying at the gates of the top of the drawer, with a bitter runner-up despite his great performance.
In the Women’s Absolute Individual category, Carla Cantero finished the tournament in a highly creditable third position, taking into account the age difference compared to the other players, as she competed in a category higher than her own.
In the Mixed Doubles modality, within the Absolute category, Guillermo Martínez and Carla Cantero climbed to the second drawer of the podium, in a very meritorious performance.
In the U15 Women’s Individual modality, Jimena Alonso would classify in third position among all the participants, leading each of the matches to 3 sets.
On the other hand, Marcos Romero and Mateo Higueras in the U15 Men’s Doubles modality, occupied the final third place of the Tournament in this modality.
Finally, also in the Sub15 category, but in the Mixed Doubles, Jimena Alonso and Samuel Rodríguez competed, rising to the top of the podium after one of their rivals left due to injury.
One more experience for these six Albatross, having added enough points for the national ranking, which will be compensated in the coming weeks, rising in this one, so that in successive tournaments they can have more affordable rivals.
