Atlético Madrid: England clubs want goalkeeper Jan Oblak – INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

In July, Jan Oblak (29) extended his contract with Atlético Madrid until 2028. Actually a pension contract for the Slovenian keeper. But now things could be different…

As English media reports, Oblak is at the top of the list for two Premier League clubs. Accordingly, the keeper is unhappy with the Rojiblancos despite the new contract and can certainly imagine a change.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in a commitment. Hugo Lloris (35) has been in the box there for ten years. Now the club bosses are looking for a successor to the 2018 world champion, as his contract expires in 2024.

As the “Evening Standard” reports, the Atlético bosses are said to be quite willing to negotiate with potential offers from Spurs.

Another contender for an Oblak transfer is Manchester United. David de Gea (31) has been guarding the United goal for eleven years and his contract will expire next summer. Will there then be a goalkeeper swap with Atlético?

What could speak for it: De Gea was trained with the Rojiblancos and made 84 goals for the first team before moving to Manchester in 2011. A return to his old “family”, where he played in the U17s, would be something.

However: In addition to De Gea, Atlético are said to have two other Spanish goalkeepers on the list: David Raya (27 / Brentford FC) and Robert Sanchez (24 / Brighton & Hove Albion).
