June 30, Jean-Michel Westelynck, trainer, under PO contract, then technical manager for more than 25 years, physiotherapist, sports director of swimming, then missioned on health sport and training within the expertise center has asserted his rights to retirement. The federation would like to warmly salute his commitment and his passion in the service of sport for all. Likewise, we must salute the action of Vincent Hybois, sports director of archery, who returned to his original federation on August 1 following the Ministry’s choice to entrust the para archery delegation to the FFTA. With the same logic, the French Handball Federation having obtained the delegation of all practices, Julien GOY stepped down as volunteer athletic director of deaf handball on June 30. Other departures, last May, Jean-Baptiste SOUCHEcoach of the athletics center in Lyon then that of Talence and Jérôme HUMBERT, national table tennis coach, then member of the performance unit for the detection sector and international monitoring. More recently, after several seasons of volunteering at the head of the bench press, its athletic director, Barbara MEYER resigned at the start of the season.
Expertise Division – Training
No kidding, since April 1, Bryan LE TOQUINa passionate triathlete, doctoral student, researcher, has started research work and more particularly on cycling as part of a 3-year CIFRE grant. Frédéric ROELANDrecognized expert in the movement, former basketball coach at the FFH, who became training manager for the CREPS in Talence, joined a technical executive position in the federal training center on 1 September.
Performance division
On September 1, Quentin SCHILLÉformer employee of CRH Poitou-Charentes, then executive at the FFSA, joined us as a technical executive, in the Performance division.
Territories Division
After an internship and a one-off mission in 2021, Jérémy VALOMET definitely puts down his luggage within the team on the territory pole, in particular assigned to the National Handisport Days and the DVT system.
Development Division
Congratulation to Marion SAHBANI which changes status at the start of the season. Employed since 2008, she passed the sports teacher competition and joined the pool of technical managers of the FFH in the Development division.
Federal Handisport Center
Already active on the CREPS courts in Talence, Corentin GUIZELIN officially came to reinforce the CFH team in mid-August, as youth coach for the wheelchair basketball division.
Athletics
Since August 1, Guy ONTANON who has had a high-level career within the FF Athletics, notably training Muriel Hurtis and Christine Arron, arrives at the Federation as RTHND (High Level Disciplinary Technical Referent) athletics, alongsideOlivier PAULYalready active in performance and who has become a FFH technical manager since March 1, as national athletics coach, jumping specialist.
Fencing
On August 1, Sebastien Barroistrainer within the FF Fencing, seconded for our disabled sports teams, joined the FFH definitively by becoming a disabled sports technical manager and High Level Technical Referent (RTHND).
Table tennis
Already manager of the French table tennis team as a self-employed person, Roza SOPOSKI joined the FFH on March 1 under a PO contract, before joining it as a technical manager on September 1 after his success in the sports teacher competition. She is a High Level Technical Referent (RTHND).
Cycling
Mattie JEANNEcoach of our French cycling teams for several years, becomes a technical manager, under a PO contract, and remains on the track as High-Level Cycling Technical Referent.
Nordic Ski
Vincent DUCHESNE, already trainer of the French winter teams, now joins the federation as a technical executive and High Level Technical Director in Nordic skiing. Note the arrival of the biathlete, Olympic champion in the mixed relay and double bronze medalist in the women’s pursuit and relay at the PyeongChang Games in 2018, Anaïs BESCONDas a biathlon coach.
Alpine skiing
The coach of the French ski cross team for the Beijing Olympics, the former giantist from the Ski Club des Arcs and member of the French team from 2004 to 2014, Thomas FREY, becomes head alpine ski coach, with 2026 at the end of the track. He will work alongside the coaches Jeff PICCARD et Federico BLASOTTA.
