Argentina National Team: Dibu Martínez was upset with Lionel Scaloni for not playing against Honduras | National teams

Argentina comfortably defeated Honduras 3-0, in a friendly match on the FIFA date played this Friday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. It was a football party, with Lionel Messi inspired, and another victory that increases the good run of the Albiceleste.

However, not all were smiles, as there was a claim from one of the players of the Argentine team to his coach, Lionel Scaloni.

In the friendly match that was played in the United States, Scaloni decided to make several changes to test players and find out if they are ready to play the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

However, that rotation did not please Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez, a goalkeeper who has almost always been a starter in the Scaloni process.

The Argentine press picks up this Saturday a version of the journalist Esteban Edul, close to the Albiceleste team, in which he talks about a claim from ‘Dibu’ to his coach.

The controversial goalkeeper Martínez would have asked Scaloni for an explanation for the decision to save Gerónimo Rulli, the third goalkeeper in the squad. However, the coach would have told him that he would like to test the abilities of the Villareal goalkeeper to define the list of goalkeepers called up for the World Cup, but that he has already defined who will be the starter.

Next Wednesday, September 27, Argentina will face Jamaica, and ‘Dibu’ Martínez hopes to have minutes to remain calm, since the Qatar 2022 World Cup is getting closer.
