Argences. Judo: good results among young people

The Argences judo-club is chaired by Céline Cendrier. Sandrine Deshaies holds the position of secretary and Carlos Perreira that of treasurer. The club has about 120 licensees each year, a stable figure which is our cruising speed , underlines the president. Classes are provided by Lucas Auvray, judo teacher.

Last season, several youngsters obtained excellent results. Thomas Delaunay finished second in cadets at the French tournament which took place in Marseille. Madenn Verlhac is vice-champion of Normandy and Léo Delaunay third in the Normandy championship. This year, we have three young people at the hope pole in Caen, one at the France pole in Orléans and one in the departmental judo class.

The club has resumed its activity at all levels. This year, we have a new discipline, taiso. A muscle strengthening class for adults and teenagers from 16 years old, Monday evening from 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Judo classes are held on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the judo room next to the new gymnasium.

The club will renew its all-purpose fair in the old gymnasium on the 1is May. The organization of an interclub is envisaged.
