Remarkable successes for the judoka from Untermain in Bavaria last weekend: Anna Hohm from JC Obernburg won the silver medal at the Bavarian Cadet Championships (U18) in Abensberg, although she is still a youngster.
Rostislav Marshev and Elias Dosseh from DJK Aschaffenburg took bronze.
The title fights started on Saturday with the U18 men. Elias Dosseh from DJK Aschaffenburg reached the small final after a defeat in the preliminary round in the heavyweight division. He won this fight with a hold on Eduard Herrmann (Neubieberberg).
Rostislav Marshev (DJK Aschaffeburg), who fled to Aschaffenburg from Ukraine a year ago, won his first fight. A subsequent shoulder throw defeat brought him into the consolation round. There he defeated his Aschaffenburg training mate Jordan Rakowski with a hip throw. Another victory (by shoulder throw) brought him into the small final. There he won with a slingshot.
In the weight class up to 60 kg, Eric Püchel from Obernburg came in seventh and Kilian Degend in ninth place.
In the women’s competitions on Sunday, Anna Hohm (JC Obernburg) started in the heavyweight division with two victories against Schwand (Sulzbach-Rosenberg) and Reiber (Gründing). Here she had to admit defeat after a hip throw – but silver was the deserved reward for a good performance.
In the weight class up to 63 kilos, Thea Schubert reached the semifinals. A defeat against the later winner Emily Lorenz from Rötz put her in the fight for third place. After another defeat she stayed fifth, so she qualified for the southern German championship. Lana Klein by JC Obernburg was also fifth.
