Anderlecht: Francis Amuzu extends but could skip Charleroi

It was in the air since he decided to accept Anderlecht’s choice not to let him sign in Nice: Francis Amuzu extended his contract at Anderlecht. The winger is now tied to the club until 2025.

A symbolic one-year extension which above all allows him to revise his contract upwards. His salary has increased significantly. In particular thanks to Felice Mazzù. The boss loves Ciske’s profile and has pushed his management to do as much as possible to keep him.

Amuzu might not be able to celebrate this good news in the field. Injured in the hamstrings in the first half against Kortrijk, he has not yet been able to resume at a normal pace. His presence at the kick-off on Sunday afternoon against Charleroi is greatly questioned.

For other players, the news is more positive: the infirmary is gradually emptying. Amadou Diawara, injured in the last matches of the Mauves, was able to join his national team. The Guinean has played and returns to Brussels with playing time in his legs. He could resume his place on Sunday against Charleroi even if the Arnstad-Ashimeru duo worked well against Kortrijk.

Benito Raman, injured in the ankle, should also be able to regain his place in the group. He has been training again in recent days and was able to participate in padel matches last Thursday.
