Albion F.C. vs. Phoenix – Match Report – September 26, 2022

(ESPN.com) –Albion and Fénix tied 1-1 at Parque Saroldi, in the match that closed date 10 of the 2022 Clausura Tournament.

The match began with the Pioneros taking the initiative, and they quickly found the advantage since at 7′, a ball filtered into the area found José Neris biting enabled and leaving the goalkeeper on the way, to define with the goal empty for 1 to 0.

The process of the match was attractive, but Javier Feres’ arbitration began to rely again and again on the VAR, completely cutting the common thread of the game. In the first half there were 4 video arbitration checks (two for possible penalties and two for possible expulsions) that kept the match stopped for almost 12 minutes.

In the complement the game changed and, with fewer interruptions, a more fluid game was seen in which Fénix found the tie at 55′ with a header from Bruno Scorza for the 1-1.

With the match tied, both teams went out to seek victory since the result did not serve either of them. The one who came closest to breaking parity was the albivioleta who scored a goal that was annulled due to an advanced position, and who had another clear one with a shot by Scorza that went over the crossbar.

Albion and Fénix ended up drawing 1-1 at the Saroldi, in a match with two very different times and that had VAR and arbitration as protagonists in a too short first half.
