Albert Pujols becomes the fourth MLB pro to hit 700 home runs

Baseball star Albert Pujols wrote a piece of history in the US professional league MLB. When his St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-0, the 42-year-old became only the fourth player in league history to hit his 700th home run.

Overall, the veteran from the Dominican Republic, who wants to end his career after the current season, managed two home runs in the encounter.

Pujols now belongs to an elite circle. Previously, only icons Barry Bonds (762 homers), Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714) had hit 700 homers.
