The certainty of the Garuda Nusantara squad to the continental level junior competition was obtained after defeating Vietnam with a score of 3-2, Sunday (18/9).

Indonesia’s first victory was obtained from a match against Timor Leste which ended 4-0. The hosts continued their positive trend as they beat Hong Kong 5-1.

In the decisive match, Indonesia closed the preliminary round nicely. The 3-2 score solidified Robi Darwis and his colleagues’ steps to qualify for the U-20 Asian Cup.

2. Crack the Egg Against Vietnam

For almost three years, Shin Tae Yong has not tasted victory against Vietnam since he coached the Indonesian national team. Four meetings against Vietnam in various age groups always bear bitter fruit.
