3D Italian Archery Championships. The party begins in the pine forests between San Vero and Narbolia | ORNEWS.it

September 24, 2022

Like a village that comes alive for the patronal feast. Between Is Benas and Is Arenas, a stone’s throw from the admirable Oristano coast is a proliferation of colorful archers with their inseparable backpacks full of arrows and careful to jealously protect their precious instrument called to make a good impression at the Italian 3D Championships.
Fitarco Sardegna and ASD Annuagras Arcieri di Nurachi, organizers of the tricolor festival, never held on the island, await the final response of the races, after that in the last few weeks, overwhelmed by an unspeakable passion, they spent themselves to give a worthy shelter to the many and variegated silhouettes that since yesterday have been targeted by leading experts in the discipline.
In reality, those statuesque animal reproductions have already been tickled properly during the trial shots that have been incessantly followed by 330 shooters since Thursday, representing 80 companies from all over Italy.

On Friday things got serious in the four fields each with 24 pitches. The first sensations, arising from the collective acclimatization, are of the president of FITARCO Sardegna Pino Spanu who appears cautiously hopeful: “I found a lot of enthusiasm among the protagonists – he says – I hope to be able to see it until the awards ceremony on Sunday morning at the spaces kindly granted by the Is Arenas golf club, thanks to the intermediation of the manager Piero Maria Pellò. In the meantime, I wish everyone a good time amidst the pine forests that fall within the municipalities of Narbolia and San Vero Milis ”.
And the euphoria of the participants could be tested during the official opening which took place on 22 September 2022 at the Is Benas Country Lodge. The 3D Italian Championship was presented in great detail by the highest federal officials of Fitarco including the president Mario Scarzella and by the local administrators who welcomed this massive turnout of competitors immersed in a unique territory, pampered by the many accommodation facilities that have made themselves available.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT CHAMPIONS
SARDINIAN ARCHERS IMMEDIATELY IN EVIDENCE

The event stands out because it welcomes the best specialists of the four types of bow in the competition. Several champions of the Italian National team, veterans of the 3D World Cup held in Umbria between Terni, Stroncone and Carsulae, are also treading on the paths of Oristano. Between them Giuliano Falettiindividual gold in the longbow, gold in the mix team together with Giuseppe Seimandi (also here on the island and protagonist of the world bronze in the naked arc paired with Cinzia Noziglia) e Marco Bruno. Seimandi also took silver paired with Giulia Barbaro who, on the other hand, was unable to arrive in Sardinia.
On the other hand, there is Elisa Baldo world champion gold in the compound and Sabrina Vannini world bronze in Umbria in the instinctive arc paired with Fedele Soria.
Sardinia is also showing all its dynamism, especially in the youth sector. In the spotlight obviously the blue Eleonora Meloni that this summer, in the naked arc, junior category, won the Italian title.

And the Campidanese university student, on the first day dedicated to the mix team, unleashed all his potential with a nice silver in the under 20 bare bow, paired with his teammate (Arcieri Uras) Davide Cabua. Identical medal color and same jersey for Ilaria Spano e Daniele Raffolini. A third all-Sardinian silver comes from the under 20 compound thanks to shots by Martina Del Duca e Federico Piano of the Archers Torres Sassari. Also noteworthy is the fourth place in the naked arch under 20 with two other Ursian archers: Giacomo Bandini e Mariella Corrias. The Sassari duo composed of Carlotta Cosso e Marco Fozzi, in the same type of arch they are equally fourth. Today elimination phase for the first twenty classified and in the afternoon team clashes for the first eight men and women.
