‘2022 Gyeongbuk Senior Sports Competition’ to be held in Gyeongsan after 3 years


Gyeongsangbuk-do will hold the ‘2022 Gyeongbuk Senior Life Sports Festival’ in Gyeongsan from the 27th to the 28th.

According to Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 26th, this tournament, which will be held for the first time in three years, will be played in 11 sports, including gateball, ground golf, and badminton, with 4,000 participants including 23 city and county teams and officials, as well as senior athletes from Jeollanam-do.

Gyeongbuk Senior Living Sports Festival is a festival where senior citizens over 60 in the province can participate and enjoy a healthy and active retirement life. – The Jeonnam Life Sports Exchange Project is being promoted.

This year, about 80 senior athletes from Jeollanam-do will participate in five sports and have a meaningful time to broaden mutual understanding and sympathize by building valuable relationships through sports and cultural exchanges.

At the opening ceremony held at the Gyeongsan Indoor Gymnasium on the morning of the 27th, the oldest participants, Wang-seop Park (male/95/Pohang) and Fujang Kim (female/88/Yecheon), who were the oldest participants, wished for a long life and happy old age. A commemorative plaque will be delivered.
