Coady, who has 10 England caps, expressed his happiness at becoming just another Toffee. He did not hesitate to make the decision when he was told that Everton wanted to hire him. A good part of his family is a fan of the institution and that is why he pressed for the negotiation to take place.

“As soon as I heard the interest, I wanted to be part of the team… I grew up in the city, I know the club, how big it is and what it means to the fans. I am someone who was desperate to come here, to play for this club. I have family and friends who are great Evertonians”, commented the player.

And it is that Everton not only loses Yerry Mina for an indefinite time, in the same match against Chelsea another defender, Ben Godfrey, was injured that he will be three months out of the courts due to a fibula fracture.
