Ever since Werder’s professional boss Clemens Fritz commented on “Sky90” about the future of Wolfsburg’s Max Kruse (34), the former Bremen kicker has been the number one topic for Werder fans. Fritz explained that he can well imagine Kruse leaving Wolfsburg this summer: “With his quality, Max has the right to play.”
In the meantime, the striker himself has commented on his Twitch channel: “Of course I heard Clemens Fritz’s interview and thank you for the compliment. At the moment there is no imminent move to Werder.”
But Kruse doesn’t want to rule anything out, but he raves about his former club: “Now it doesn’t matter whether I’ve played for Werder or have sympathies. I was already impressed by the first game with us, which surprised me in a positive way. The game culture, the game forward, that went really well. Chapeau.”
Kruse flirts with Werder
Kruse is also enthusiastic about striker Niclas Füllkrug (29): “He flew under my radar for a long time. What he did now, how he developed again. His bounce is brutal. His assertiveness top. I thought his knee was fucked up? You have to say chapeau for that.”
But could Kruse really storm together with the filling jug soon? It doesn’t look like it. Fritz: “Of course it would do us good with its quality, but that’s all there is to it. That’s not an issue for us.”
