VfB Stuttgart: Resterampe has to go: These three can still go | Sports

Stuttgart’s shrinking cure is not over yet!

The squad, which was extremely bloated last season, should be significantly narrowed this season. Sports director Sven Mislintat (49) has already sold ten players, loaned them out or not renewed their contract. But that’s not supposed to be it.

Philipp Klement (29), Mateo Klimowicz (22) and Wahid Faghir (19) no longer have a future at VfB. Even in the cup game in Dresden (1-0) it wasn’t even enough for a place in the squad. The problem: There are currently no buyers for Stuttgart’s Resterampe.

► Klement, who was on loan at Paderborn last season (two goals, four assists), can imagine a permanent return to East Westphalia.

► With the young Klimowicz, VfB is aiming for a loan, the hottest lead leads to FC Elche in Spain.

► 5 million flop Faghir was mostly only used in the second team in the regional league last season. The Dane hopes in vain for a new attempt from coach Pellegrino Matarazzo (44). The signs point to separation.
