Unusual, ATP > Just 6885 points and world number 1, a great first!

Less than 7000 points to be world number 1, this is the first time that this has happened since the overhaul of the tournament as pointed out Game, Set and Maths.

This does not mean that Daniil Medvedev’s place is usurped, especially if we take into account that he should have played Wimbledon, but it confirms that this season is more than “special”.

Needless to say also that despite all this ranking is biased by the fact that Novak Djokovic could not play the Australian Open, nor Montreal, nor Cincinnati and that his 2000 Wimbledon points were not distributed.
