Ukrainian children pass belt test – LEIPZIGER SPORTLÖWEN eV

For our two Ukrainian training groups, we also offered continuous training during the holidays with the aim of taking a belt test at the end of the holidays.

A total of 40 refugee children from Ukraine ultimately took the Kyu exam. Congratulations to all judoka on the successful exam. Special thanks go to trainer Svetlana, who practiced diligently with the athletes during the summer holidays.

The older children will train together with their German sports buddies from September. Only the children of the U11 remain in their own training group. Head coach Sebastian Hampel explains:

“We have between 30 and 40 children in our other three U11 training groups. So it makes sense to leave the 22 Ukrainian children in their own group. Svetlana will remain the trainer and will soon be going to the first competitions.”
